HappyFid 2, a white-label React Native mobile app

HappyFid 2 is a white-label Expo and React Native mobile app on top of a WordPress plugin: catalogue, loyalty card, stores and notifications per client.
Context
HappyFid 2 is Mediapilote’s white-label mobile app solution: an Expo and React Native app connected to a WordPress plugin that acts as back office and API. Each client gets its own app, in its own colours, fed by its own website.
I built it during my work-study from October 2024, then adapted it for several clients: Agrileader, Intersport, Gimly, HAD35 and, more recently, Cadiac. In 2026, I rebuilt the back office and the API as version 2.
Challenge
One base had to serve very different needs. A retailer expects a WooCommerce catalogue, a cart, a loyalty card and its store list. HAD35, on the other hand, wanted an internal app for its staff, with HR alerts, carpooling, classified ads, events and equipment booking.
So the shared core had to stay maintainable, while letting each variant add its own modules without breaking the others.
Approach
On the WordPress side, the plugin exposes a JWT-authenticated REST API: posts, pages, WooCommerce products and orders, categories, stores and opening hours, catalogues, loyalty barcodes, slides and alerts, with a back office to compose the app’s home screen. On the app side, I built sign-in, offline mode, checkout, order history, the loyalty card and push notifications.
Version 2 replaces the old back office with a React interface and a dependency-free v2 API: isolated brand identity, favourites, notification groups targeted by store, scheduled pushes, app texts editable by clicking the preview, and CSV export of customers. For HAD35, I added the business modules and shipped successive releases to the stores with Expo.
