WordPress extensions

Visioavenue regularly delivered WordPress websites for its clients. Some needs weren’t covered by any plugin on the market: they had to be built from scratch.

At the same time, the agency needed its website mockups integrated and newsletters produced for its clients.

Three workstreams, three levels of demand. The extensions had to stay maintainable over time without weakening the sites they run on. The integrations had to match the mockups faithfully.

And the newsletters had to display correctly in every email client, including the most temperamental ones.

The extensions are written in PHP on top of WordPress hooks rather than by modifying the core or the themes, which keeps them easy to update.

Front ends are integrated in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with no unnecessary dependencies. Newsletters are built with HTML tables, the safest approach to stay compatible with Outlook and Gmail.
